FORT will implement research programs that create funded MS and PhD opportunities. MS student researchers at NMHU will increase technical skills as scientists and managerial skills through the training, mentoring, and oversight of undergraduate researchers employed on their projects. The MS students also will be in a stronger position to transition to a PhD program at NMSU while remaining involved with the same overall project. These students also will be involved as ambassadors of the FORT Center through their involvement with outreach components and their broader interactions with their local communities. For a listing of currently open positions, see the Employment and Fellowship Opportunities page.
