The Forest Restoration Triangle (FORT) Center team includes:
- New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) Department of Forestry (FORS): Offering instructional programs leading to a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Forestry, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Conservation Management, and minors in Wildland Fire and Wildlife Management, FORS emphasizes the sustainable adaptive management of forests and rangeland through the application of ecological principles and knowledge, in conjunction with an understanding of economics, human dimensions, and law and policy.
- NMHU New Mexico Forest and Watershed Restoration Institute (FWRI): FWRI provides technical assistance and practical knowledge in forest and woodland restoration to reduce the threat of catastrophic wildfire and restore healthy and sustainable forested ecosystems and restoration-based economies.
- New Mexico State University (NMSU) John T. Harrington Forestry Research Center (JTH FRC): JTH FRC is the only research program in the southwestern US that focuses on forest nursery technologies, tree improvement, and eco-physiology of young forest trees to facilitate ecological restoration and/or commercial reforestation.
